Frequently Asked Questions
The following are some of our most frequently asked questions. If you don't see the question you would like answered, please contact us. We are always happy to assist you how we can.
Are there any items that I cannot put in my dumpster?
Hazardous waste cannot be placed in the dumpster. This includes but is not limited to: Paint, propane tanks, asbestos, batteries, flammables, and liquids. Restrictions and fees may apply to other items including, but not limited to, appliances, propane tanks, refrigerators, freezers, box springs, mattresses, air conditioners, tires, televisions, monitors and computers. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding certain materials.
How much space is needed to place the dumpster?
Please review the container dimensions listed on the residential page. All of the open top dumpsters are approximately 8 feet wide and you will need a minimum width of 10 feet. You should also check to see that there are no low hanging trees, power lines, or other overhead obstructions that may hinder access to your anticipated location.
Can I put the container on the street?
Please check with your local municipality. Permits are often required.
Will your truck or dumpster cause damage to my property?
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the dumpster location and access to it, is sufficient to bear the weight of the vehicles and containers required to perform the service. Our trucks and containers are quite heavy and it is suggested that you protect the surface where the dumpster is to be located by placing a 4’ X 8’ sheet of plywood at that area. The customer assumes liability for any damage caused to any roads, drives, walks, lawns, landscaping or other area resulting from the delivery or pickup of equipment.
Can you provide a delivery or service time?
If you call our dispatch center on the morning of the day your dumpster is to be delivered, we can give you a window of time in which to expect your dumpster. It is preferable to have your dumpster delivered the day prior to when you need to start loading it.
How do we load the dumpster?
The back side of the dumpster is actually a door that swings open for easy access. Dumpsters can be filled “water level” to the top. If debris is loaded over the top we will not be able to remove the container and trip fees may apply.
